Malaysia -> Kota Kinabalu -> Sabah Museum
Sabah Museum    Kota Kinabalu,

The Sabah Museum is located in a four story building styled after the longhouses of the Rungus and Murut tribes. The museum features examples of traditional tribal dwellings of all of Sabah's major tribes, including Kadazan bamboo houses and a Chinese farmhouse all set around a lily-pad lake. The grounds are also home to several steam engines. Inside the museum, the ethnographic collection is a highlight of the exhibits. There is a bangkaran, or cluster of human skulls, from Sabah's headhunting days, as well as other tribal and historical artifacts. A photography exhibit traces the history of Kota Kinabalu and another presents flora and fauna of the area. Next door is a Science and Technology Center, as well as the Sabah Art Gallery.
